Book-in-a-Box ELA Project

This Book-in-a-Box project is one of my favorite projects to assign to my middle school English classes. It is actually based on a project that my teacher Ms. M assigned to me in 5th Grade! I adored Ms. M. She inspired a love of reading in so many of her students.

For this project in 5th grade, I reported on the book Anne of Green Gables, and I remember going around my house to find items to add to my box. My favorite item was a lock of hair that I cut from my red-headed Cabbage Patch doll to represent Anne’s red hair.

In hindsight, I don’t think I had to present my project to my classmates, but having students present their work is a great addition to this hands-on activity. If you assign this project to your kids, please let me know how it goes!

Medical planners for moms *and all caregivers!

Recently, I shared the reason why I created the Medical Mom Tracker, and why I started making notebooks on Amazon in the first place: the Medical Mom Tracker is the notebook I wish I had when my child experienced a medical emergency.
