Recently, I shared the reason why I created the Medical Mom Tracker, and why I started making notebooks on Amazon in the first place: the Medical Mom Tracker is the notebook I wish I had when my child experienced a medical emergency. A medical emergency happens fast, and I remember feeling that I wished I had a way to record everything that was happening.

Luckily, my son has an amazing team of doctors and nurses, and I know they are keeping track of his health. But still, having my own records makes me feel empowered. It is really scary for your child to be sick. During a scary time, I found that little things made a difference.

My first product: the medical mom tracker

Not long ago, I was sitting in a hospital hallway waiting for my baby to see his doctor. As personnel walked by, I said hello to nearly everyone. These were the doctors and nurses who had saved my son’s life.

This feeling of familiarity was comforting, but I also laughed to myself: you know you are the mom of a child with a chronic illness when everyone in the hospital corridor knows your name. Some might call us “medical moms.”

The sense of community feels good, but you laugh because it’s a good feeling in the face of adversity. If you could choose, you would wish for your child to not have to spend so much time at the hospital.

But in life, we cannot always choose.

During that wait, I sketched an idea into my notebook: it was the medical mom tracker. It was the notebook that I wished I had when my baby experienced a medical emergency. This product is the reason that I started selling notebooks on Amazon.
